Rediscovering the Carașului Gorges: A Passion for Nature and Authentic Tourism The idea for this business gradually took shape in a place filled with childhood memories — my grandparents’ house in Carașova. The area is not well explored from a tourism perspective, even though it has huge potential, and we want to change that. There are a few accommodation options, but organized tourist activities are lacking, which makes visits short — only about two days on average.
We strongly believe that developing tourism can help uplift the region and bring people closer to nature. Our passion for hiking and mountain landscapes is with us every day, whether it’s about trails around our home or more distant adventures.
Having a child made me understand even better how important the connection with nature is — especially for little ones. We want to encourage families to spend time outdoors, away from screens, which can become a trap for children’s health and development.
This activity started from the desire to offer something valuable both for the place where we grew up and for the visitors who are searching for the beauty and tranquility of the Carașului Gorges — a truly storybook place, a health oasis that always draws back those who discover it.
